SV Ried stands for down-to-earthness, tradition, community and serious business. Sportvereinigung Ried was founded on 5 May 1912 and has been an established Bundesliga club with the highest possible sporting goals and financial security for over 20 years.

The former Gothic town hall was completely remodelled in 1653, when the façade was decorated with pictures and sayings from the founding saga.

The town library is an institution of the town of Ried for all citizens in the old Marktrichterhaus at Roßmarkt 29.

The Urban Development Forum is the focal point for the ZukunftRied project.
Until 1 August 2023, the urban development forum can still be found at Roßmarkt 33, 4910 Ried im Innkreis.

Ried im Innkreis is a cultural town and metropolis in the Innviertel, the part of western Upper Austria that borders Bavaria.

Stadtmarketing Ried is a central implementation and coordination centre for city and location activities in the economically vibrant Innviertel district capital. Its main tasks are not only the organisation of events, but also city and location marketing and cooperation with other institutions in the city and region.

The large city park and "green lung" of the city of Ried was gradually created after the Second World War in the floodplain of the Breitsach.

The Roman Catholic parish church of St Peter and St Paul belongs to the deanery of Ried im Innkreis in the diocese of Linz. The church is a listed building.

Ried became an Independent parish after it split from the mother parish of Mehrnbach in the 14th century. The Gothic style of the previous building can still be seen in the base of the church tower and in the buttresses of the presbytery. The Parish Church of St Peter and St Pail was given its present form after catastrophic storm damage in 1929. The interior surprises the visito with the wide barrel vault over the nave, which is uniformly decorated with stucco in the regency style. Each of the eight chapels was once dedicated to loal guilds, which were also responsible for their furnishings. The interior furnishing is to a large extent the work of the Schwanthaler family of sculptors. Particulary remarkable is the "Mount of Olives Group" in the "Chapel of Suffering", which is attributed to Thomas Schwanthaler. Inside the church and on the outer south side are large numbers of remarkable Epitaphs set into the wall.

Stadt Schnitzel is a restaurant in the heart of Ried. It is the place for a fine culinary experience, where tradition is mixed with a modern touch.

Franz Stelzhamer (1802 - 1874) is considered the most important representative of Upper Austrian vernacular literature. In 1911 he was dedicated a monument that was created by sculptor Anton Gerhart.
